Sand Mandala in the Pagoda Phat Hue
The Ven. Chusang Rinpochedknsdksdkndskndknds and two other Tibetan monks from the Sera Monastery Mey Tsangpa Khangtsen visited Pagoda Phat Hue to create a sand mandala for peace. During the three days of the mandala’s construction, Ven. Chusang Rinpoche gave talks on developing inner peace and cultivating compassion.
The purpose of the mandala, which is unique to the Tibetan tradition, is to promote peace, harmony and understanding amongst all people.
All admission fees and donations went towards the construction of a new prayer hall and 30 rooms for monastic living and medical treatment at Sera Mey Tsangpa Khangtsen monastery.
The Peace Sand Mandala, and two previously made mandalas are still on display in the Buddha Hall of the Pagoda.
